Detecting & Investigating Cyber-Crimes in the Workplace
EFC hosted a training session titled “Detecting & Investigating Cyber-Crimes in the Workplace”, bringing together professionals from diverse industries. The main objectives of the training were to identify different types of ‘cyber crimes’ that can be committed by employees at the workplace, discuss the do’s and don’ts in investigating into such ‘cyber-crimes’ and to examine the Laws governing ‘cyber crimes’ as well as the admissibility of computer based evidence.
The session, conducted by Mr. Sujit Christy, President of Circulo de CISO, and Dr. Thusitha Abeysekara, Head of the Legal Studies Unit at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was led by these esteemed industry experts who combined theoretical insights with real-world case studies, practical demonstrations, and interactive group discussions. Participants were left equipped not only with actionable tools and techniques but also with a stronger sense of responsibility in safeguarding their workplace ecosystems.
As cyber threats grow increasingly sophisticated, the need for proactive and informed responses has never been more urgent. At the EFC, we remain committed to fostering a culture of cyber awareness and resilience across the corporate landscape.
